YOUTH DAY 2026
HONORING SWAMI VIVEKANANDA
Revered Swami Vivekananda was a brilliant writer and speaker whose life and message
continue to inspire generations. Vivekananda Vidyapith holds Youth Day Writing and Speech
Competitions each year to honor Swamiji’s birthday and celebrate his enduring legacy.
Purpose of Youth Day Competitions:
These competitions aim to foster thoughtful reading, meaningful research, and deep reflection
on the given topic. Students are encouraged to internalize the theme, prepare and present
their ideas with courage and conviction, and then put them into practice to build their character.
In preparing their speeches, students may explore a variety of reference materials and are
welcome to engage in discussions with parents, siblings, and mentors. However, the final speech
should be their own—genuine, heartfelt, and original.
We place special emphasis on authenticity and the integration of character-building values such
as kindness, humility, courage, justice, fearlessness, perseverance, service and honesty.
As Swamiji reminded us through his life and teachings:
"Character is what you do when no one is watching."
