A Tribute to Spiritual Oneness of Humanity

On Sunday September 22, 2002 at 11:00 a.m., the students, teachers, and parents of the Vidyapith attended a special program called, “ A Tribute to Spiritual Oneness of Humanity” which was organized by Swami Adiswarananda, the spiritual leader of the Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Center, New York The program was held at Tishman Auditorium, in New School University, 66 West, 12th Street, New York City. Fourteen Swamijis, Dr. Jayaraman, and a few Revered Guest Speakers of other faiths gave inspiring speeches. After the September 11, 2001 tragedy in New York City, the topics like Harmony of Religions, Peace, and Feeling Oneness as Human Beings were on everyone's mind. Various questions and doubts arose in everyone's mind. People asked, "Is Spiritual Oneness possible?", "Can there be peace in the world?" "Could there be a harmony of religions?" Several questions were answered in the speeches and directions were given by the holy people who unselfishly love humanity.
