“I am not here to make a speech, since every one is tired. Of course we are all elated by the inspiring speeches of the Swamis. I would like to give my best wishes and greetings to Dr. and Mrs. Jani for running such a remarkable institution. It is an institution that every one should follow. As one Swami said ‘there should be a chain of Vidyapiths’. That also is going to happen.

My blessings and prayerful greetings go to all the children who presented yesterday. They did an excellent job performing the ‘Dhruva’ play. All the characters, Dhruva, Uttanapada, Suruchi, Suniti and other characters performed very well. The teachers who prepared them did a master job. Best of all were the dedicated volunteers who made the event possible. We all imagine things, but that imagination has to be put into practice. Imagination has to become reality, and the volunteers did it, the teachers did it and the students who followed the path showed by them did it. The Vedic chanting was beautiful. I was following it. It was simply wonderful. Students with understanding of the meanings of the Upanishad’s chanting created a sense of pride in us. Yesterday scholars and Swamis spoke on various aspects of the contribution of Swami Vivekananda. They were wonderful speeches. It was wonderful to see that you presented these ideas artistically, through your play, recitations, music and hymns. My greetings to you all. I do not wear a hat, but my hats off to Dr. and Mrs. Jani. Thank you.”
