Greetings Vidyapith Alumni!
I hope all of you are in good health and happily
engrossed in your studies and work. I was pleased to
have had the opportunity to see some of you during our
Vidyapith functions. Even though we (Vidyapith teachers,
helpers, and I) have not seen many of you recently, we
fondly remember all of you.
This
year Vidyapith is celebrating its 30th
anniversary. For this occasion, some of us thought to
have a 30 th Year Reunion for Vidyapith
alumni. Talking to a few alumni and teachers, we found
that the best available dates are Saturday,
December 23, 2006 and Sunday, December 24th,
2006. We kept the gathering over the holiday break
hoping that many of you would be in the area to
celebrate this occasion with us . (Please note that
the festivities will conclude by 3pm on Christmas Eve.)
The tentative schedule for the reunion is as follows:
Saturday, December 23,
2006
9:00am-12:30pm-
Session I (at Vidyapith) - Prayer, Welcome, and
Introductions
12:30pm-2:00pm- Lunch
5:00pm-7:00pm- Session
II (at an auditorium) - Alumni presentations
(speeches, bhajans, classical dances, and skits)
7:00pm-9:30pm- Dinner /
"Reflections of 30 Years"- Slide and Video Presentation
Sunday, December 24,
2006
9:00am-12:30pm- Session III (at Vidyapith)- Prayer and
"Plans for Alumni Involvement"
12:30pm-2:30pm- Lunch
2:30pm-3:00pm- Concluding prayer
In order to participate in the event, please be aware of the
following deadlines:
1) April 10, 2006- RSVP by this date if you are
interested in helping with the planning of the event.
You must be available to attend scheduled meetings
at Vidyapith.
2) May 15, 2006- RSVP required by this date if
you want to participate in alumni presentations (Session
II)
3) May 15, 2006- RSVP required if you want to
attend the reunion
